The Beechcraft 1900 Beechliner is Beechcraft’s third regional airliner that entered service in 1984. The version D is a later development of the 1900C commuter airliner with the fuselage redesigned to give a stand-up cabin and higher rated 1,279 shp PT6A-67 engines. It has a forward entry airstair door and can carry 19 passengers in high density. The extra fuselage depth gives more cargo space, accessed through a large upward-opening rear hatch.
The Beechcraft 1900 variant D was designed to providing a “stand-up cabin”, which would allow most passengers to walk upright.
The Beechcraft 1900 can operate safely on relatively short airstrips and it can take off and land on grass and rough runways.
